The Gangaure festival is the most important festival of Rajasthan. It is also celebrated in some parts of Gujarat, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh. This festival is celebrated in the month of Chaitra ( a month of Hindu calendar ) or in the month of during March–April. This Gana is a synonym for Lord Shiva and Gaur which stands for Gauri or Parvati who symbolizes Saubhagya (marital bliss).This festival is very important for the married & unmarried women. Unmarried women's worship for a blessed with a good husband, while married women do so for the welfare, health and long life of their husbands and for a happy married life.In 2017 this festival will be on March 30th.

Pick up from hotel  / Airport / Train station and transfer to the magnificent Amber fort which is situated about 8 Km in the north side of  Jaipur, which was the old capital before  Jaipur founded. Here you will visit Mirror Palace and beautiful gardens. The Gangaur Sawari starts from the “Tripolia gate” the gate of “City Palace” and ends at “Talkatora”.The “Talkatora” is the small pond in the area of City Palace.The Gangaur procession start from the “Zanani-Deodhi “of the famous City Palace. It continues all the way through the Tripolia Bazaar, Gangauri Bazaar, Chhoti Chaupar, Chaugan stadium. At last, the procession congregates in the vicinity of the ‘Talkatora’.People comes from all over the world to celebrate this festival. You can see Old palanquins, Giant Elephants, Bullock carts, folk performances and Vibrant Chariots are the Eye-catching components of the magnificent Gangaur celebrations. Ghewar is the main dish of this festival.which is made especially on this occasion.
